Hi there--if you can't get these admirable videos to work, and there's no one nearby to show you how to do it, have you considered finding a book at the library? There are good ones with pictures that make things really easy. Casting off is a lot like taking those woven-loop potholders off the loom, if you ever made those things--but it's LOTS easier to understand if you have a picture to look at. Good luck.
