Some stitch patterns curl, some don't. You need to change your stitch pattern. Try something with a mixture of knit and purl stitches on each side (face) of the fabric. Stockinet always curls. Ribbing doesn't, and checkerboard-like fabrics don't.

: I was wondering if anyone could help me with the problem i'm having. When I start knitting a scarf it always starts to curl into a long tube. Is it the yarn i'm using? Or the needles? I don't know, I'm just a beginner knitter and all I know how to do is a scarf, and it won't even work! Could someone please help. It would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
