I am teaching myself how to knit. I am fine with the cast on and even the first stitch but when I start the second or third stich the yarn on the needle in my right hand, with the "new" stitches, is so tight. So tight in fact, that I am unable to maneuver the needle for the "pull the yarn through the front" during the next stitch. I assume that the stitches should be reasonably taut. I guess I need to find a balance but it seems I get the above results everytime I practice my stitching. Any suggestions,hints or tips? I am practicing with size 8 needles but I do have 6 available.
