I'm a Beginner; I've taught myself mostly from the vidoes here and from 2 books I have. My HUGE problem that is happening EVERYTIME I knit, or purl, is that I'll start out with 44 cast on stitches, for example and then the first row I knit will still have 44, the next will have 45, the next 47, sometimes it soesn't even happen incrementally - like: 22,23, 26, 31, etc. I am paying very close attention to each stitch but somehow I keep increasing the numbers in row after row. Why is this happening? I make sure to start each the same as in the vidoes. Please help. I've had this problem for over a year now.
