ive already begun working on my first knitting project. its really just practice. im using worsted-weight yarn and size 8 14" aluminum needles. the yarn seems to become really tight and im wondering if a different type of yarn would stay more loose. the length of the needles doesnt bother me, i think i actually prefer it, but is there an advantage to using a bamboo or other kind of needle?
