I am a novice knitter and am trying to make my first sweater. I am at the point where I have to shape the neck and it says to knit 19 stitches then bind off the center 10 stitches with a new ball of yarn and then continue doing the last 19 knit stitches. What I need to know is how to add that new ball of yarn exactly? Do I attach it to a third needle with a slip knot and then start binding off or what? I cannot find anywhere where it tell me how to add a new ball of yarn in the center of a row.
