Grafting - (Kitchener stitch)
Grafting two fabrics together elliminates the need for a seam. But this techniques is also a prerequisite to learning the invisible cast-on. Some people refer to grafting a seam as the "kitchener stitch".
Invisible bind-off
This is a wonderful bind off for a neck ribbing. This bind off creates a very stretchy edge, and yet holds in the shape of the neck. Once you practice this edge and become an expert, it is sure to be your favorite bind-off.
Single & Double Crochet bind-offs
The crochet bind-offs are used mostly for a decorative edge. Such as an edge for a pocket. Crochet lovers might prefer to use this bind-off because of the simplicity of it.
Three needle bind-off
This bind-off is perfect for a shoulder seam in a sweater, where you have the same amount of stitches in the back shoulder as you have in the front shoulder.
Decrease bind-off
This bind-off creates a firm edge. It also is helpful to use on a stockinet edge to help it from curling. We like this bind-off for pocket edges.
